West Central Florida AMS Chapter

West Central Florida AMS Chapter The West Central Florida Chapter of the American Meteorological Society, was chartered in 1961. We have about 100 members.

Meetings are held in various places around the Tampa Bay Area including The National Weather Service Office in Ruskin, local television stations, USF, Museum of Science and Industry, MacDill Air Force Base, and Hillsborough Community College.

Hello everyone! For our next AMS meeting we will be seeing the new movie Twisters on Friday August 16th! šŸ™‚ To RSVP please keep an eye out for an Email. If you are not sure you are on the list please send us a Facebook message….. The theaters will not release movies and showtimes until a week before the movie starts, so mark your calendars and make sure to keep an eye out for updates on how and when to order your tickets. The goal is to have it at CineBistro in Hyde Park Tampa around 6 or 7 PM depending on showtimes, available seating, and interest. So it could change but we will keep you posted as the date gets closer…. Hi Everyone! If you haven’t heard, we are having an AMS meeting on Monday May 20th at 6:00PM… It’s going to take place at the Chillis located at 2903 N Dale Mabry HWY Tampa, FL 33607.

If you received an email please RSVP whether or not you can attend.
