What does it look like to transform the challenges, questions, and beauty of being human into something tangible?
That’s the work of Professor Kendra Frorup, whose sculptures invite us to explore memory, healing, connection, and the spaces we inhabit—both physically and emotionally.
It was an honor to dive into the work of Kendra, a professor in the The University of Tampa Art Department and an internationally respected sculptor whose impact on students and the broader arts community is profound. Working across a variety of mediums, her practice challenges us to see the world—and ourselves—with greater curiosity and compassion.
Our CEO (at UTampa Alumna) recently had the opportunity to write about her work and creative journey for the Journal. Read it here https://www.ut.edu/alumni/journal/Spring-2026/im-in-this-room
Be sure to experience her latest exhibition, Healing Properties, currently on view at the HC Art Galleries
Art has the power to help us make meaning of our lives. Kendra’s work is a beautiful reminder of that.
