FLORIDA TASK FORCE 6 | HURRICANE ISAIAS DEPLOYMENT

Florida Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 6 (FL-TF6) has concluded its deployment to North Florida following Hurricane Isaias.

Throughout the five-day-plus deployment, task force members conducted search and rescue operations, damage assessments, and reconnaissance missions in storm-impacted communities.

Operating alongside local and state response agencies, FL-TF6 worked to assess storm-related hazards, support affected residents, and assist with ongoing emergency response efforts.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the State of Florida and the Florida Division of Emergency Management for the opportunity and trust placed in our team. We are equally grateful for the dedication of our personnel, the support of their families, and the commitment of our partner agencies.

FLORIDA TASK FORCE 6 | ACTIVATED

Florida Task Force 6 (FL-TF6) has been activated by the State of Florida and is deploying to North Florida in response to Tropical Storm Isaias.

Our Urban Search and Rescue team is mobilizing with highly trained personnel, specialized equipment, and the resources necessary to support communities threatened by the approaching storm.

FL-TF6 is prepared to conduct search and rescue operations, provide emergency medical support, and assist with disaster response efforts. Team members will work alongside local, state, and federal agencies to ensure critical resources are available where they are needed most.

As communities across Florida prepare for the potential impacts of the storm, our team stands ready to answer the call and carry out its mission of protecting lives and assisting those in need.

Florida USAR Task Force 6 has returned from the State of Florida Mobilization Exercise (MOBEX) where all 8 Florida state teams participated in a multi day scenario that is identical to that of a real deployment to a disaster. We’d like to thank State of Florida CFO Blaise Ingoglia and Director JoAnne Rice for putting this together.
