Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate the two mothers yesterday! It was a morning full of community, smiles, and of course lots of presents. Now we just have to wait for baby girl and baby boy to arrive 💖💙

AR4WRM is happy to announce that the African refugee community here in Tampa Bay is growing! Next Sunday, September 5th, we are co-hosting a double baby shower to celebrate the upcoming arrival of a baby boy and a baby girl to two recently resettled refugee mothers. If you would like to contribute to this event, please reach out to us as directed below.

Thank you to everyone who made Sunday possible! We distributed 18 backpacks filled with school supplies as well as sacks of classroom supplies for teachers to six local refugee families. AR4WRM wishes everyone a healthy and successful 2021-2022 school year

AR4WRM has been teaming up with doctors from Tampa General Hospital and anthropologists from the University of South Florida to vaccinate members of the African refugee community against COVID-19! So far our team has vaccinated 14 individuals and plans to deliver vaccines again this Saturday (6/19).

Accessing healthcare is a major challenge for many of the families we work with as busy job schedules combined with limited access to transportation hinders their ability to reach clinics. These difficulties are further compounded by language barriers as dialectally adequate translation services are often unavailable.

Our door-to-door campaign has been designed to overcome these obstacles to ensure that any African refugee who wants a COVID-19 vaccine can conveniently and safely receive one from someone they trust!

Last Sunday AR4WRM delivered food and other necessities to four refugee families in the Tampa Bay Area with our friends from the Church of the Ressurection. Partnerships and generous donations make outreach like this possible!
