Fall 2026 Classroom EcoSphere applications are now open!

Bring a living ecosystem into your classroom and give students the opportunity to observe ecology in action.

EcoInspire Inc is accepting applications from teachers and school leaders interested in receiving a Classroom EcoSphere for the Fall 2026 semester. Each program kit includes a self-contained living aquatic ecosystem, a curriculum companion, and student observation materials designed to support hands-on learning about organisms, ecological cycles, and interconnected systems.

A limited number of Classroom EcoSpheres are available this fall.

This week our founder Joe Manson had the privilege of presenting as the keynote speaker for the Tampa Bay Aquarium Societyto an audience of aquarium enthusiasts.

He shared his journey from keeping his first planted aquariums and breeding Opae Ula shrimp to founding EcoInspire and creating our Classroom Ecosphere program.

What began as a personal hobby became a mission to help students experience ecology through living ecosystems. Every Classroom Ecosphere demonstrates the intricate balance between shrimp, algae, beneficial bacteria, and the natural cycles that sustain life.

A huge thank you to the Tampa Bay Aquarium Society for the warm welcome, thoughtful questions, and enthusiasm for environmental education. It's encouraging to see so many people who share a passion for aquatic life and are excited about inspiring the next generation.

We're excited to announce that the EcoInspire Inc. Board of Directors has unanimously reelected Joe Manson to serve another term as President of EcoInspire Inc.

The Board's unanimous vote reflects its confidence in Joe's leadership and his vision for growing EcoInspire's mission of inspiring the next generation through hands-on environmental education. Under his leadership, EcoInspire has continued to expand programs like the Classroom Ecosphere, helping students discover ecology, biology, and environmental stewardship through living ecosystems.

"I'm incredibly grateful for the trust and support of our Board of Directors," said Joe. "What we've accomplished so far is only the beginning."

Thank you to everyone who has supported EcoInspire Inc. Together, we're building a future where every student has the opportunity to connect with nature, explore science, and become a steward of our environment.

This weekend, I had the chance to experience one of Florida’s natural treasures—the springs along the Chassahowitzka River.

Kayaking through crystal-clear water, surrounded by fish, turtles, and birds, it’s easy to see why people love these places. We saw families and friends out enjoying the river—exactly how it should be.

But we also saw signs that not everything is perfect—algae blooms and invasive plant species, reminders that these ecosystems need our attention.

Protecting places like this isn’t something one policy can solve. It’s something each of us has a role in.

That’s why I believe so strongly in education—especially hands-on experiences. Because when people truly experience nature, they don’t just learn about it… they start to care about it.

And what people care about, they protect.

That’s one of the reasons I started EcoInspire Inc.

🌱 Introducing EcoInspire’s Classroom Ecosphere Program 🌱

We’re excited to share that EcoInspire’s Classroom Ecospheres are already making their way into multiple classrooms across the Tampa Bay area.

Each Classroom Ecosphere is a fully self-contained living ecosystem, designed to bring science to life right on a student’s desk. No feeding, no water changes, just observation, curiosity, and discovery.

But this isn’t just a display — it’s a hands-on learning experience.

Every program includes:
🔬 A self-sustaining ecosphere with live shrimp, algae, and natural elements
📘 A Curriculum Companion Booklet that explains ecosystems, energy flow, and natural cycles in an engaging, student-friendly way
📊 A Student Tracking Log that encourages observation, data collection, and critical thinking over time

The curriculum doesn't just teach students about ecosystems, they learn to observe, question, and understand how nature works as a system.
