Meet Romeo!!! 🌹🐶

Romeo is 1 of the 3 dachshunds left from the hoarding case in search of his forever home! He’s come a long way since being with his foster, and he’s finally ready to find his people 🐾

Neutered, microchipped, hw negative, 1st round of vaccines

Working on potty, crate, and leash training.
Good with cats and dogs.
Unsure about small kids but he was around them at his hoarding house, so he should be okay.

Romeo didn’t have the easiest start to life. He’s 1 of the 6 total that we rescued from the hoarding house in Holiday at the end of August. He went into one of our foster homes and has been totally thriving ever since.

Romeo is a bundle of energy! Hes a very sweet boy who absolutely loves to snuggle and will lick you to death if you let him. He’s still working on his potty training and leash skills, but he’s making progress! Romeo doesn’t mind being on a leash he just isn’t quite ready for long walks yet.

Romeo does good with both dogs and cats. He is also VERY food motivated! He eats and drinks a little too enthusiastically, so he uses slow feeders to help him pace himself. One of his favorite things to do at his foster home is sit outside and watch the wild peacocks strut around 🦚

We’d expect Romeo to be a little shy and timid around new people and animals in a new environment, so he will need some patience and extra care. Once he’s settled in, we expect him to be an amazing addition to your family!

Meet Moxie!

He is around 6 months old, fully vetted and neutered.

Moxie is a total love bug once he gets comfortable with you. He'll let you hold him, snuggle, play (He actually plays fetch!), etc. He is curious and loves watching the outside through the window sill. He will literally lay and just watch the outside forever. Come meet this cutie pie! He is waiting for his forever home!

Our contract was very detailed before but we added even more to it now and made sure our language is super clear🫶 We’ve never had an issue before but it just takes once for us to fix our mistakes, we felt our contract / discussions were straightforward but adding the extra verbiage will hopefully make everything more clear in the future :)

Welp, with 98 adoptions since May, there was bound to be an issue at some point but it still REALLY sucks😩

We adopted out a group of kittens after they were fixed/checked by the vet. Unfortunately with the level of intake we’ve had, it’s not always possible for one of the coordinators to get eyes on the animals before adoption, so we rely on the fosters & especially the vet to ensure they’re in good health

Sadly even though the vet had eyes on them a few days prior, this group ended up having ear mites:( We immediately offered to refund adoption fees and give revolution. One of the adopters opted to bring to their own vet & declined a return of their adoption fee, however their vet visit was over $500 so they decided to reach out and ask for that reimbursed😩 If we had known we would have had them go to one of our vets that offers a rescue discount, but we also understand that they feel they are out that money because of us. We are calling the vet to see if there’s any way they could discount it but ultimately we are going to have to cover it and also be out the adoption fees of the others:/

This has been super stressful because we pride ourselves on being a rescue who makes sure pets are healthy & we are ALWAYS willing to help if issues arise (sometimes a move will trigger an upper respiratory, etc) but ideally we use our vets or our supplies we have on hand to help offset some costs.

Anyway, we are out almost 1k now and of course it’s not about the money, it’s about the kitties being healthy, but we can’t save more until we recoup this unexpected cost:(

Meet Teriyaki! This sweet 6-month-old brown tabby is a medium-haired boy with a heart as big as his fluffy tail.

Teriyaki is the devoted protector of his siblings. When they were both critically ill, he stayed close by their side, offering comfort and companionship when they needed it most. He’s clearly a little caretaker at heart.

He’s still learning that people can be trusted, but he’s making wonderful progress. Teriyaki is very food-motivated (Churu is the way to his heart!) and loves to play, which makes bonding with him easy and fun. He has even started allowing pets. Teriyaki needs a patient, loving home that will let him warm up at his own pace.
