TAMPA, FL – Last Tuesday night, the citizens of Hillsborough County won a tremendous victory.
Hillsborough County won by supporting my platform – New Leadership & No New Taxes!
Before Tuesday’s election my purpose was to make a difference in our community and to help people. My purpose remains the same today and going forward. I look forward to working actively in our community and to achieving more of our goals together.
My campaign came up a little short, but we still achieved our goals. Hillsborough County now has new leadership, and we defeated the transportation tax. I would like to congratulate the newest Republican Commissioners, Donna Cameron Cepeda, Michael Owen and Josh Wostal. I also congratulate Harry Cohen as he serves our community with the new County Commission.
I would like to thank all my supporters, those who contributed to my campaign, those who spent long hours walking neighborhoods and calling voters and those who cast their vote for Scott Levinson. To each of you, I truly appreciate everything you have done and am forever grateful. I am proud of what we accomplished and I Iook forward to continuing my service to this great community in many ways.
I look forward to the new Republican majority County Commission instituting strong fiscally conservative budget policies. As I’ve said all along, there is plenty of money and the Commission must prioritize spending. I encourage them to focus on what is important to our community: transportation, public safety, and quality opportunity programs for our youth.
I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people as I campaigned throughout Hillsborough County, and I look forward to what the future holds.
Love and respect to all,
Scott
