Yesterday we asked for help getting a new washing machine… and you all showed up in the most incredible way. 🥹🧺✨

Because of you, we can keep up with the endless laundry that comes with rescue life — clean bedding, fresh towels, and safe spaces for every animal in our care. This may seem like a small thing, but it makes a huge difference for them every single day.

We are so beyond grateful for this community. Your support keeps us going, and more importantly, it keeps them comfortable, healthy, and loved. Thank you for always having our backs. 💛

Intake never slows down… and neither does the heartbreak behind it 💔

River has spent the last few months locked in a room. No socialization, no normal life — just isolation. She’s terrified, unsure, and trying to make sense of a world she hasn’t been allowed to be part of.

Aang, who came in with River, is around 10–12 years old. A senior cat who should be living out his golden years in comfort… instead, he’s here, scared and displaced after being surrendered by the only home he knew.

Monk was being sold on the side of the road in Progress Village. Like he was nothing more than an object to be handed off. We stepped in before his story could go even further downhill.

And then there’s Avaris…
Hearing someone casually talk about tying him up and dumping him in the woods — and laughing about it — is something that sticks with you. It’s something you don’t just shake off. Because for them it was a joke… but for him, it could have been the end.

This is what we’re up against. Every single day.

The fear. The neglect. The situations that animals don’t get a say in.

But they’re safe now. That’s what matters most. And we’ll do everything in our power to show them that the world isn’t as cruel as what they’ve experienced so far.

Fat Beet Puppy Yoga = the BEST kind of day 🧘‍♀️🐾

We had so much fun combining yoga, puppy cuddles, and an incredible community coming together for a cause. There is nothing better than stretching it out while surrounded by happy, wiggly puppies 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who came out — not only did you show up, but you showed up BIG for our animals. We are so grateful for all of the donations collected — your support helps us continue to care for and save lives every single day.

This is what it’s all about: community, compassion, and puppies 🐶✨

We can’t wait to do it again!!!!

Hi, I’m Salem 🖤🐾

I’m a 3.5-year-old Staffy/Chi mix with the sweetest, happiest personality you’ll ever meet. I’m a total love muffin—always ready for attention, always happy to see my people, and always wagging my tail 💙

I’m playful, loving, and incredibly gentle. I get along great with other dogs and have no issues with sharing—I just want everyone to be happy! I love being near my humans, whether that’s playing, relaxing, or just pawing at you for a little extra attention (because I definitely deserve it 😄).

I’m crate trained, leash trained, and well-behaved in the home. I sleep quietly in my kennel and have a calm, sweet demeanor that makes me such an easy companion. I may have the occasional accident, but that’s mostly because I don’t like wet grass—who can blame me!

My ideal home would be with a loving family, especially one with another dog and a fenced yard where I can feel comfortable and safe. I truly thrive with companionship and would love a home where I can be part of the family and share all my love.

I am currently heartworm positive, but don’t let that scare you away! Our rescue will cover all treatment costs until I’m heartworm negative, so my future family can focus on what matters most—loving me while I heal. 🩺❤️

Hi, I’m Papa John 🍕🐾

I’m a 1-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix with the perfect mix of sweet, silly, and lovable. I’m a happy little guy whose tail is almost always wagging—especially when I’m with my people! I love being close, whether that means curling up in your lap or following you around the house 💛

I’m playful, affectionate, and full of personality. I love to make people laugh and just enjoy life. I get along great with dogs of all sizes and do well with kids, so I can fit into just about any kind of home.

I’m crate trained and sleep quietly through the night like a champ. I’ve already started picking up potty training and I’m doing really well—I’ll just need a little consistency to keep improving. I’m also learning basic obedience and I’m smart and eager to please, so I catch on quickly!

My ideal home could be almost anywhere—whether it’s a big, active family or a smaller, quieter household. I’m flexible and easygoing as long as I have love and companionship. I’d do great in an apartment or a house, with or without a yard.

A little note from my foster: Papa John is so easy to love. He’s affectionate, funny, and just wants to be near his people. He has such a great personality and will bring so much joy and laughter to his forever home 🍕🐾💛

💔 New Intake: Teddy 💔

Teddy is a small terrier who has just experienced a heartbreaking transition.

His world, as he knew it, disappeared overnight. His owners—both in their 90s—had to move into assisted living, and Teddy was suddenly left trying to make sense of a life that no longer looked or felt familiar.

Without his routine & his space, Teddy became overwhelmed and confused. The stress became too much for him to process. He began resource guarding his dad and recently nipped his mom—not out of aggression, but out of fear, anxiety, and displacement.

This is not a “bad dog.” This is a dog who is grieving and struggling to understand why everything he depended on is gone.

With heavy hearts and deep love for him, his family made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome him for everyone’s safety and his well-being.

We are now stepping in to give Teddy something he desperately needs: peace. A quiet, stable place where he can decompress, feel safe again, and slowly learn that not everything has been taken from him 💛

Once Teddy has had time to settle and heal, he will be available for adoption to a patient, understanding home willing to give him the fresh start he deserves.

Please keep Teddy in your thoughts as he begins this hopeful transition. 💔

🚨 URGENT: our washing machine is broken!!🚨

Our washing machine has officially given out, and with the amount of laundry we go through every single day caring for these animals, this is a HUGE setback. Blankets, towels, bedding—we’re constantly washing to keep everyone clean, safe, and healthy 🐾💔

Without a working washer, things pile up fast… and we simply can’t keep up.

🙏 We are urgently looking for:
• Donations toward a new washing machine
• OR a gently used washer that someone no longer needs

If you’ve ever wanted to help in a truly impactful way—this is it. Something as simple as a washing machine makes a massive difference in the daily lives of our rescue animals.

🚨 OWNER SURRENDERS AREN’T STOPPING… AND WE ARE OVERWHELMED 💔🐾

Every single day, the messages keep coming.

“Can you take my dog?”
“I’m moving.”
“My landlord said no pets.”
“I had a baby.”
“I can’t afford the medical care.”
“I don’t have time anymore.”

And while we understand that life happens… the heartbreaking reality is that shelters and rescues are drowning.

Today alone, more animals were surrendered into our care — scared, confused, and wondering why their families are gone. Some arrived matted, neglected, unvaccinated, or carrying medical needs that have gone untreated for far too long. Others came in with nothing but the blanket they’ve known their whole lives. 💔

These animals don’t understand why their world changed overnight.

They only know they lost the people they loved.

The crisis is getting worse.
The overpopulation is getting worse.
And the owner surrenders do not stop.

This is why spay and neuter matters.
This is why fostering matters.
This is why adoption matters.

Rescues cannot continue carrying this alone without the community stepping up beside us.
