We currently have 250+ animals living in foster homes, and Mercy Full Project provides the supplies needed to care for every single one of them. That means the food they eat, harnesses, leashes, collars, cat litter, crates, bowls, toys, puppy pads, medications, cleaning supplies… you name it, it’s on Mercy Full Project’s dime.

Right now, we are running dangerously low on thick slip leads and kitten food (both wet and dry). With this many animals relying on us every single day, supplies disappear faster than you’d probably believe.

If you’d like to help, donations can be shipped directly to the rescue at the address above. Monetary donations are always welcome as well and allow us to purchase whatever is needed most urgently. ‼️

Somehow this girl managed to produce an ALL-BOY litter. Not a single daughter in sight. ⁉️

We cannot WAIT for their official debut to society on September 11th at our Tails of Mercy Gala, where every single one of these tiny men will be hanging out in our Cuddly Lounge and available for pre-adoption!! 🥹

I don’t know what we keep doing, but somehow we keep attracting the clingiest little Velcro dogs on planet Earth; and Ally is no exception.

This girl LOVES her humans. She gets along perfectly fine with other dogs, but truly? She could not care less about their existence. She would muchhhhh rather be permanently attached to her person’s hip. :)

And did we mention she’s still just a 1-year-old puppy? 🥹 Ally is a pocket-sized, 8 lb Wire Fox Terrier with a whole lot of personality packed into one very tiny body.

She’s potty trained, back and forth on the whole leash-training thing lol (so a home with a backyard will be required) and overall she’s just a really sweet, easy girl.

We genuinely thought Ally was going to get SNATCHED up at one of our last two adoption events… but alas. Here she still sits. Waiting. Confused. Probably wondering why nobody has realized she’s perfect yet (because same). 🤯

We’re back, baby!!! 🎉🐾

We’ve spent the past week deep cleaning the rescue, sanitizing everything in sight, and airing out our kennels outside to make sure the kennel cough is officially TOAST. Bye!!! 👋😂

And that means… ADOPTION EVENTS ARE BACK!

Join us Saturday, September 5th from 10AM–2PM at Mercy Full Project! We have so many incredible dogs and cats waiting to meet their people, and after a very long week of cleaning, we are SO ready to see y’all again. ❤️

Even when we try so desperately hard to slow down or pause intake (like this week, when we’ve had to close our facility because of a kennel cough outbreak and spend days cleaning and sanitizing) we somehow still find ourselves unable to say no.

Because intake is rarely happy.

It’s animals being handed over by families who can’t keep them anymore. Animals found sick, scared, neglected, abandoned, or completely confused about why everything they knew suddenly disappeared. Sometimes they come through our doors shaking. Sometimes starving. Sometimes injured. Sometimes they just sit there quietly, looking around, waiting for the person who left them to come back.

And then we have to pick up the pieces.

That part of rescue never gets easier. Every single intake carries its own sadness, its own story, and its own little life that suddenly becomes our responsibility.

The cycle feels endless. But somehow, because of our fosters, volunteers, supporters, adopters, and everyone who continues to show up for these animals, we keep making room for one more.

Thank you for helping us get everyone out of the facility so we could give it the deep clean it desperately needed.

Even with all of these new little faces we just took in, the facility is officially CLEAR. 🙏😭

These babies are safe now. They’re settling into foster homes, learning what love and security feel like, and soon they’ll all be ready for adoption. 🤍

Each one of them has their own individual story about how they ended up here. Some are heartbreaking. Some are frustrating. All of them deserve a better ending.

If you ever find yourself helping some cute little stray/feral kittens, here’s the basic formula:

➡️ Feed them. Sit near them. Bribe them. Get hissed at.

➡️ If your name is Kalena Coulsey, apparently “hisses get kisses” (attempt this strategy AT YOUR OWN RISK- see last slide⚠️)

➡️ Use Churu or wet food to help them associate people with good things, play with them using wand toys, and slowly work your way up to handling.

➡️ And when all else fails… purrito.

Wrap the tiny criminal in a towel, give them some gentle pets, let them realize you’re not actually trying to kill them, and repeat until they stop acting like a 1-pound demon.

We’re officially LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AWAY from our 3rd Annual Tails of Mercy Gala!! ✨🐾

And yes… there will be puppies. There will be kittens. And yes, you may absolutely leave the gala with a new family member. 😂🤍

Peep just a few of the adorable, adoptable babies who will be joining us at the gala and ready to find their forever homes that night! 🐶🐱

This night is about so much more than getting dressed up. It’s about celebrating the lives we’ve saved, the people who make this mission possible, and raising the funds that allow us to keep saying YES to the animals who need us most.
