IT’S ABOUT TIME WE HAD A CONVERSATION!

The policies being passed today are impacting LGBTQ+ people right now—not someday, not eventually. From DEI to healthcare, education, voting rights, and beyond, our community deserves a space to unpack what’s happening and discuss how we move forward together.

Join us for an intentional community conversation about policy, power, protection, and action.

🏳️‍🌈 LGBTQ+ community members are encouraged to attend. Allies are welcome. Preference will be given to LGBTQ+ attendees.

Pride is a celebration of love, authenticity, resilience, and the freedom to live fully as ourselves. Today, we honor the entire LGBTQ+ community and the countless individuals who have fought, organized, created, and dreamed of a world where we can show up boldly and unapologetically.

As a Black-led organization rooted in service to Black same-gender-loving and LGBTQ+ communities, we also recognize the unique intersection of being both Black and q***r. Our stories are shaped by culture, history, family, faith, resistance, and joy. We carry the strength of those who came before us while continuing to create spaces where our communities can heal, connect, thrive, and be celebrated.

This month, we celebrate our differences, our shared experiences, and the beautiful diversity that makes our community so powerful.

We didn’t just survive. We evolved.

Today, February 7, we recognize National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Black people have been disproportionately impacted by HIV since the beginning of the epidemic—and those disparities continue today. While Black people make up just 12% of the U.S. population, we account for 39% of new HIV diagnoses, 40% of people living with HIV, and 43% of HIV-related deaths. These numbers reflect systemic barriers, not individual choices.

The good news: HIV is preventable and manageable. PrEP & PEP can reduce the risk of HIV by up to 99%, and people living with HIV who reach an undetectable viral load cannot transmit HIV (U=U). Knowing your status is power.
