Full Moon Party Alert!!!!

Join us for an afternoon of fun under the Full Snow Moon! We connect to nature through activities, stories, recipes, and more. Prepare for games, music, and snacks as we celebrate full moon in style! We incorporate teachings into each full moon story through storytelling.

This event is ideal for children of all ages who enjoy creating, and learning. Please remember to RSVP by reserving tickets.

These Little Sprigs and I had so much for at our last event! We learned about Augustus Jackson, the father of ice cream; We learned new vocabulary words; learned about ice cream around the world AND attempted to make our own ice cream by vigorously shaking our zip loc bags!

Whew... making ice cream wasn't that easy without rock salt ;)

Hello friends!
🥳🥳There is an event coming up for this week, Thursday! I’m thrilled to use this event to celebrate heritage through culturally relevant Montessori, Waldorf and Favorite lessons and materials.

⌛One of the key principles guiding our meet up is the intentional use of time.

🍨🍦❄️This Thursday’s meet up is all about ice cream! We will learn about the history of the father of ice cream ( AUGUSTUS JACKSON) , make ice cream from scratch, discuss states of matter and tie in our cultural approach of learning about ice cream through the continents.

This gathering will take place at Scout Park in Temple Terrace, 803 W River Dr, Temple Terrace, FL at 1pm.
The ingredients list is big but I might have a few items. If you’d rather just show up and I get your own items for you, please donate $5. If not, please bring your own items.

🛒🛍️Items needed:
2 ZIP-LOCK BAGS (1 SMALL, 1 LARGE) PER CHILD
ICE CUBES ( You can bring this in a mini cooler)
ROCK SALT
MILK OR CREAM
SUGAR
VANILLA EXTRACT
MEASURING SPOONS
THERMOMETERS (OPTIONAL, FOR OLDER CHILDREN)
MITTENS OR TOWELS

STRAWBERRY SUMMER SOLSTICE PARTY!!!!

Bring the children out for a summer solstice celebration!

Be prepared to make and enjoy lunar treats, create lunar art, listen to our playlist, sit around the campfire and engage in our storytelling project AND meet new friends!

Are you looking for a day camp for the summer?

Join us at our Homeschool Village Kitchen Classroom for an edible summer in our beautiful urban farm!

Who? Little learners who want to do hands-on activity ages 5-12

What? Summer Day Camp at The Homeschool Village, partnered with Project Flourish!
Each week, learners will explore the benefits of environmental stewardship through a new garden-to-table food lab. We’ll question the impact of our consumption, celebrate the season, learn about ingredients, and greener approaches to living!

** Drop Off Program with themed weeks. See website for details**
When? Mondays and Wednesdays beginning July 8th and ending August 28th from 11am-2pm

Where? The Homeschool Village Kitchen Classroom, MacDill Ave 33611 ( More info will be sent in welcome email)

It is 5 days until our Kwanzaa festival!

We have lots in store for our first annual event! This festival will be filled with holiday crafts! We will be creating our kinara and a new year wreath. We will be cooking a traditional soul dish and making it plant-based.

Donation is $15 per family!

I'm so happy I've created a space where children can be seen and heard. A place where children can learn through real life application.

These littles have made vegan croissants for breakfast! They paired it with mung beans and plant based cheese.

They have done mathematics, science, physics, self sustainability, reading and writing with just this lesson.

I would like to invite all of you to a project presentation on self-sustainability hosted by the children.

Join the children of The Homeschool Village on our urban homestead as they present their first projects on self-sustainability!
Each child has put so much work, love and time into their projects to show their family and their community what they can do and what they have come up with as a project for self-sustainability. They will be presenting what we have done as a class and what they have decided to contribute, individually.

Please join in on this joyous occasion. Invite all of your family & friends in the community to support these star seeds!

The village holds so much value at a time like this and it would be lovely for the community to show support.

This is a place where we can reimagine infant and toddler time to be a time that not only honors childhood but also reflects our humanity without all the educational ideologies to “prove” why a style of learning or being is better.

There is a place for the discussion of educational ideologies but not in this space. We are believers of saying “that is good for a child’s spirit” and let that be enough. There are too many places where ideology leads and the child begins to be measure and compared to how well he or she is able to fit into that educational ideology.
This space is for connection, exploration, creativity and resting for child and parent.

In this re-envisioned space there will be books, songs, food, movement, exploration, art ——all the things that are just good for the child’s spirit.
