Meet Ashley 🤍

She's a holistic pelvic floor occupational therapist and the founder of Pelvic Fleur—bringing over 8 years of experience to her practice.

Here's the truth: pelvic floor therapy isn't just about treating symptoms. Ashley's approach goes deeper. She integrates fascia release, visceral manipulation, and trauma-informed yoga to create care that honors your whole body—physical, emotional, and mental health together.

Her certifications include Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist, trauma-informed yoga training, manual lymph drainage, and visceral manipulation. But what really sets her apart is how she shows up: compassionate, holistic, and deeply committed to creating a safe space where you feel understood and supported.

Whether you need support during pregnancy, postpartum care, or pelvic floor therapy that meets you where you are, Ashley offers personalized sessions—in-person, virtually, or even home visits in the St. Pete area.

World Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week is coming up (first week of May), and we're not waiting to talk about what actually helps:

âś“ Providers who screen for mental health at every postpartum visit, not just the 6-week checkup
âś“ Support that shows up before crisis hits
âś“ Normalizing that postpartum mood changes exist on a spectrum
âś“ Connecting families to therapists who specialize in perinatal mental health
âś“ Partners and support people who understand warning signs
âś“ Communities that don't shame people for struggling

Postpartum depression affects 1 in 7 birthing people. Postpartum anxiety is even more common. These aren't character flaws or signs you're not cut out for this.

If you're struggling: You're not broken. You're not alone. And you deserve support that meets you where you are.

Tampa Bay families: We can connect you with perinatal mental health specialists, support groups, and providers who take this seriously. Drop a 🤍 if you need resources.

Here's the truth: finding the right support for your little one's speech, language, or feeding challenges can feel overwhelming.

Meet Samantha Elder, M.S., CCC-SLP, of The Little Years Therapy Co.—this week's Member Monday spotlight 🤍

Samantha is a nationally certified and state-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist serving families in the Greater Tampa Bay area. With specialized training from Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and degrees from UCF and USF, she brings serious expertise wrapped in warmth.

What makes her practice different? She uses a parent-coaching model that empowers you to support your child's progress at home. Her play-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach meets families exactly where they are—whether that's mobile therapy in your home or office-based sessions.

Samantha founded The Little Years Therapy Co. in 2023 to build a practice that prioritizes both family connection and evidence-based care. And the families she serves? They're seeing real progress—kids going from occasional words to clear daily communication, from feeding struggles to confident mealtimes.

Green flags you've found the right postpartum support 🟢

âś“ They ask about YOUR recovery, not just baby's weight
âś“ They normalize the hard parts without toxic positivity
âś“ They offer specific help, not just "let me know if you need anything"
âś“ They check in on your feeding journey without judgment about the method
âś“ They remind you that healing isn't linear
âś“ They validate your instincts instead of dismissing your concerns

You don't have to wait until you're drowning to ask for support. The right provider meets you where you are.

What would you add to this list? 🤍

What to Know Wednesday: Postpartum Doula Support

Here's the truth: most families don't know postpartum doulas exist until they're already in survival mode.

A postpartum doula isn't just for people who are struggling. They're for anyone who wants:

• Practical support in those early weeks (meal prep, light housework, sibling care)
• Evidence-based feeding support without judgment about your method
• Someone to hold the baby while you shower, eat, or sleep
• Emotional processing of your birth experience
• Resources and referrals when you need specialized help
• Validation that what you're feeling is normal

Postpartum doulas typically visit 2-4 times per week for 2-4 hours. Some families use them for a few weeks, others for several months. You get to decide what support looks like for you.

You don't have to wait until you're struggling. Support isn't a luxury. It's how humans have always done this.

Fill in the blank:

The person who made the biggest difference in my birth experience was _____ because _____.

Sometimes it's your midwife. Sometimes it's your doula. Sometimes it's your partner who learned to do the hip squeeze at 3am. Sometimes it's the lactation consultant who showed up on day 4 when you were ready to quit.

Your support team matters more than your birth plan ever will.
