On Saturday, February 24th, a BIG THANK YOU to our KHS ‘69 alumni volunteers that spent their Saturday working to help provide KHS students with a safer and more secure area. You’re the Best!
Lead by Nick Pullaro, and Dr Bashman (KHS Principal), Daniel Lundeen, Donnie Russell, Steve North, Rob Alvis, and Rick Davis, conducted a cleanup effort at an area frequently visited by students across from the high school. Working four hours, they cleared overgrown palm trees and trash near the Mobile Station. This included a mattress, as well as shrubs, and taking down dead trees and bushes. Then, they hauled all materials to KHS property, for Hillsborough County pick-up.
Dr Bashman was not just there but worked hard beside our alumni. This was his project. A Hillsborough County Sheriff stayed with the team the entire time they were working.
Dr Bashman and the Sheriff very much appreciateall the work completed.

Let’s Roar at KHS Wednesday, 1/10/24

Principal of KHS: Dr Greg Basham

What a day for Let’s Roar and King High School (KHS) on Wednesday, 1/10/2024.
We have several missions for this semester of this school year to assist KHS with their needs. Number one on the list was a need for hoodies to keep students warm. Let’s Roar purchased and delivered boxes of hoodies totaling 100. They were presented to a very grateful, Krysten Dimento, the school’s Social Worker.
In addition, in December, Let’s Roar donated much needed underwear and socks to Krysten.

There were also additional donations this month for the KHS Childcare Center and the Arts. For the Childcare Center, toys, books, puzzles, etc., were donated and presented to Sabrina Coleman, KHS; she was excited to receive everything! Paints, framed art, picture frames, etc., were presented to Emily Quaig, the Art Teacher.

Our goal is to make an impact on the students and teachers of KHS so we continue to engaged the administration of KHS to assure our donations are of maximum benefits to the students and their families.
