We had a great time at The Florida Medical Clinic Foundation of Caring's Hands for Hope Casino Royale and Bingo Night! The proceeds raised will help fund and support nonprofits in the Tampa Bay region. The Foundation strives to strengthen our community by funding programs and services so deserving children and families have the opportunity to thrive. Thank you Foundation of Caring of Caring for all that you do!

Gemma’s Advocate told us that Gemma never asks for anything. So when they recently started talking about the book Gemma was reading, her excitement was impossible to miss. She was loving the story and wishing she could read the entire series and have the books as her very own.

And book lovers know that feeling. There’s something special about being a young reader and holding your very own copy of a book you love, especially when you get to keep the whole series together on your shelf.

So when Gemma’s Advocate asked if we could surprise her with the series, we were thrilled to say yes!

Knowing how much these books meant to Gemma, we were just as excited to give them as she was to receive them. Her very own little library, filled with stories she loves, all because her Advocate took the time to notice what made her happy.

Because of your support of our Children’s Needs Program, we’re able to say “yes” to special requests like Gemma’s and help make moments like this possible every day. And for us, there’s nothing better than knowing a child feels seen, supported and cared for. ❤️📚

Lorne and Barley, along with their best bud Polar from Hero to a Child, dropped in on the Office of the Attorney General! 🐾

The boys believe in the importance of regular visits, brightening the staff’s day and helping everyone decompress after a long day. They also had the chance to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones!

Visits like these are a fun way to spread awareness about the important role Facility Dogs play in the courtroom, providing comfort and support to children as they navigate difficult experiences.

🐾 September is National Service and Facility Dog Month, dedicated to honoring the contributions of highly trained working dogs.

As working Facility Dogs, Lorne and Barley’s training and skills are specialized in supporting kids during court testimonies, depositions, medical exams, and forensic interviews.

Please join us in celebrating all Facility and Service Dogs for the amazing and often life-altering love and support they provide to humans, both large and small. ❤️

📚✏️ A GIANT thank you to our Back to School Supply Drive supporters!

Whether you shopped our Amazon Wishlist, dropped off supplies in person, or made a monetary donation, you showed up in a BIG way! Together, you helped provide more than $13,000 in school supplies for foster kids getting ready for the new school year. 🚌💛

Nothing makes you feel more special than when your friend wants you to feel as special as they do! 💖

Barley recently joined Gemma for an interview related to her case. Gemma arrived wearing a pretty pink princess dress with a detachable train that made her feel extra special and confident for her appointment.

Wanting Barley to feel special too, she took off the train and requested her knight in shiny fur wear it, and even use it as a pillow while they waited. 👑🐾 So generous was Princess Gemma! Barley was all paws in and proudly supported his princess, bringing smiles and laughter to Gemma and everyone who walked by that morning.
