Looking back at one of the most meaningful moments of NBLES 2026: Al Piña’s All-White Black & Latino Unity Gala.

After two full days of sessions, panels, and bank conversations, the Gala gave our community a chance to come together in a different way. We gathered to celebrate the life of Al Piña, with heartfelt memories shared from the stage by those who knew him.

The evening was also a celebration. An outstanding comedian kept the room laughing, and the dance floor stayed full well into the night.

The relationships built during the day grew deeper over dinner, laughter, and music. That kind of connection is what keeps this community moving forward long after the Summit ends.

We’re in the news! 📰

NBLES made the front page of The Michigan Chronicle’s Roots section, highlighting how Detroit leaders brought the national conversation on economic opportunity, leadership, and community impact back home.

Huntington Bank Chairman Gary Torgow headlined our “Leadership In Motion” luncheon, reminding attendees that real change starts when people choose to notice a need and do something about it. Detroit changemakers Dina Harris (National Faith Homebuyers) and Rev. Alonzo Bell (Redeem Detroit) were featured for the work they’re doing to expand homeownership, build businesses, and create pathways for the next generation.

Grateful for the coverage, and prouder to be doing this work alongside leaders like these. 🙌🏽

Day 1 wasn't just talk. It was work. 💼

Across three tracks, Small Business, Affordable Housing, and Policy & Capital Access, attendees dug into the real strategies behind building wealth in our communities. From navigating bank relationships to unlocking down payment assistance to understanding the future of CRA, every room was moving the mission forward.

This is what Capital in Motion looks like.

One of our favorite moments from NBLES 2026: our Children's Cancer Center event. 🌊☀️

As part of our ongoing partnership with our Charity of Choice, we kicked things off with a SeaScreamer boat ride along Clearwater's beautiful coastline, dolphins included. The kids had an absolute blast.

From there, we brought the celebration back to the Sheraton Sand Key for a pool party full of food, music, and sunshine.

A beautiful day, a great crowd, and pure joy all around. This is community in action. Swipe through for some of our favorite moments.

That’s a wrap on Capital in Motion. 🎉

What a week. We opened each day with powerful keynotes and panels, connected at our Co-Chair Welcome Reception, and dug into sessions on small business growth, affordable housing, and policy & capital access that are already shaping what’s next.

Al Piña’s All-White Unity Gala brought the glam and the fun. Our closing luncheon sent us off right, and we capped the weekend giving back to our charity of choice, Children’s Cancer Center, with a pirate-themed event on Saturday.

Three days of capital in motion, and a Saturday full of heart to close it out. Thank you for showing up with us. See you next year. 🤝
