Mainlands Section 6 Civic Association

Well, after 5 months of having zero volunteers for two open board positions, we now have so many that it calls for an election. The Board of Directors will call for nominations from the floor at this Tuesday's Civic Meeting and (as long as we have a quorum like we did last month), there will be an election for a "District Rep. At Large" position and for the position of "Social Director". In the interim we have 2 appointed members to fill those roles.

I hope everyone that's in town comes to the Civic meeting this Tuesday, June 9th! See you there!

After the membership meeting this Tuesday, it would be great if we could get some volunteers to help take down holiday decorations. There had been a date and time set for this past week, but no one came to help. The decorations look great and we appreciate everyone that helped put them up... but now they need to be taken down. Please stay a few minutes before or after refreshments to help. Thank you!

It's very sad to pass this kind of news on Facebook but at least it gets the message out... Mel Reynolds-Robinson lost her love, James, Friday, Jan. 3. Mel does so much for this community and I hope she can count on all of us for support and friendship. We're thinking of you, Mel!
