Pennsylvania's 2026โ€“2027 LIHEAP season opens November 2!

LIHEAP helps eligible households with heating costs through grants that do not need to be repaid. You don't have to receive public assistance or have an overdue heating bill to qualify!

With support from our Financial Opportunity Centerยฎ program, Melanie is making meaningful strides toward her 2026 goals of changing the trajectory of her life.

Each week, Melanie meets with her financial coach to do the steady, often unglamorous work of showing up for her financial future: building a budget and stick to it, saving, and more. As she works toward her goal of paying full rent to get ready for independent housing, she has begun picking up extra shifts at work and is striving for a management role.

Melanie is proof with belief and support, lives can change. At CMCA, that's what we're about - helping people, changing lives.
