WE’RE GONNA NEED HELP!! With the storm approaching today, we will definitely be needing a lot of volunteer help on Thursday, the 17th with shoveling. Specifically, this would be helping us to shovel the Raptor cages. Because many of them are flightless, these birds can’t get out of deep snow and need assistance getting to ramps, stumps, and perches.
If you are available on Thursday to assist (community service hours apply as well) PLEASE DO!
Please call first on Thursday morning to be sure the staff has made it in and that the parking lot has been cleared for everyone.

Then they will know when to expect you and have the shovels outside and can meet with you outside, as well.
If no one answers when you call, please leave a message for the staff so they can return your call when they make it in.
It might not be a bad idea to also call Friday, the 18th to see if they could still use help with shoveling, (again not knowing the snowfall amount.)
As a reminder, the Environmental Center remains closed to the general public meaning no one is allowed inside the building except for staff.
The entire outdoor grounds remain open to anyone wishing to walk the trails, visit w/ the Raptors, go down to the Bird blind, sit under the pavilion to visit and simply to enjoy the amazing outdoors, the views and the wondrous sounds of Nature!
