COMMUNITY SOUP SALE HAS BEGUN
The Tamaqua Community Soup Sale is an annual part of the Tamaqua Area Hunger Campaign, bringing the community together to enjoy a delicious homemade meal while helping neighbors facing food insecurity. Proceeds from the sale support the Tamaqua Community Hunger Campaign and its partner food pantries and ministries, which provide food assistance to hundreds of local families throughout the year. By purchasing a quart of soup (online below), residents can enjoy a great meal while making a meaningful difference in the fight against hunger in the Tamaqua area. Soup price: $12 a quart. Google “Tamaqua Hunger Campaign” for a link to the soup ordering page or use the QR code. Ordering ends Oct. 25. Soup pick up is Saturday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. John’s XXIII on Pine Street. Soup purchasers also get raffle tickets for tickets to win gift certificates to Hunger Campaign participating eateries in the Tamaqua area. Soup can also be ordered during the Tamaqua Heritage Day, Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Tamaqua Community Hunger table.
