A message from the Refuge Manger

Tensas River NWR Annual Public Use Permit will not be required for the month of July 2026. The refuge is changing online platforms and our new permits will run yearly from August 1st to July 31st from now on, but last years permits officially expire June 30, 2026.

A new brochure will be available online July 2026 and will detail how to login to the new system to purchase permits and apply for draw hunts. Draw hunt applications will be accepted as usual from Aug. 1, 2026 to September 30,2026.
