Thank A Warrior Foundation

Thank A Warrior Foundation We fulfill our Mission by:

Providing a means of appreciation for the sacrifices made in defense of our Nation. Warrior and/or their family members.

We say “Thank You” for the service our military men and women render as well as honoring their family members, THOSE WHO ALSO SERVE our country by enduring absence, hardship, and sacrifice so their Warrior can remain on duty and we remain a free people in a free land. We give Americans the opportunity to say “Thank You” by developing a network of contributors, donations, support and volunteers fac

iliating opportunities for outdoor adventures or other activities to a U.S. We organize quality recreational, sporting and outdoor opportunities, including hunting, fishing, camping, white water rafting, hiking and other leisure adventures that our Warriors and/or their family members can enjoy. We may offer and organize other interactive meaningful recreational activities as available and requested. We assure our activities are free of charge to the men and women currently or formerly serving in our Armed Forces. We assure our activities are free of charge to the spouses and children of those currently serving active duty away from home whether stateside or across the globe. We design leisure and recreational opportunities in order to promote a sense of community, educate and mentor the youngsters of service men and women whose parent may be absent, encourage participation, and advance and encourage the hope and well-being of friendship and relationship. We build mentoring leisure programs for the children of an absence Warrior through interaction, teaching moments, companionship and the opportunity to do something fun while their parent is away. Our intent is to be self-perpetuating as long as the men and women of the United States military and their families find these opportunities useful and meaningful.

a sad day...
Pass safely warrior...

Navy Seal Mike Day, took his life yesterday. Mike meant a lot to everyone and he deserved so much better than this ending. What he had overcome was monumental.
Mike was shot 27 times while on active duty in Iraq.
If you don’t know who Mike is he is a NAVY SEAL who on April 6, 2007, in Iraq’s Anbar Province he, his team of Navy SEALs, and a group of Iraqi scouts were on the hunt for a high-level al Qaeda cell that were targeting US troops and women & children. Mike was the first to enter a room where 4 terrorist leaders were waiting in ambush. When the gunfight was over, he took out all four terrorists, but not before being shot 27 times and hit with gr***de shrapnel. By only a miracle and saving grace, Mike cleared the house and rescued 6 women and children before walking out ON HIS OWN to an awaiting helicopter which flew him to safety, he said “I wasn’t being macho, but I was afraid if they picked me up, it would just hurt more.” He details his story in his book Perfectly Wounded and there were plans to make a movie about this incredible HERO!

Mike spent his life giving back. He worked at the U.S. Special Operations Command Warrior Care Program – also called the Care Coalition, helping service members. He is a TRUE LEGEND and HERO by ALL accounts! He is pictured here with his Faithful K9 Herja…

Rest in Paradise Mike!
