For many elementary school students, learning to read can be a scary, stressful experience. Our Read UNITED program helps gently introduce reading as a fun activity one can master, instead of an assignment with strict rules.

Our volunteers make reading fun by contributing their time, personality, and compassion for this twice-yearly program. Are you ready to join our family of volunteers this year? Head to uwbb.org/read-united today to learn more about joining our program.

Ready to bring the excitement of literacy to local schools this fall? Read UNITED returns October 19th-23rd this year, and we're looking for volunteers to help keep this program a success! Log on to uwbb.org/read-united today to learn more.

Our kickoff brought guests together to discover the power of Women United and get an exciting preview of this year’s Women’s Leadership Breakfast featuring Sheinelle Jones! Guests explored sponsorship opportunities and learned how proceeds help United Way of the Big Bend support our ALICE neighbors—individuals and families who work hard but still struggle to make ends meet.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped build the excitement! We can’t wait to see you in November for an inspiring morning of connection and community impact.

Missed the kickoff? There’s still time to be part of something meaningful! Head to uwbb.org/wlb to explore sponsorship opportunities and help make a difference for local families.
