This informal event offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with candidates, ask questions, and discuss the issues impacting our community.

Our May General Membership Meeting was a fascinating, intense, and inspiring discussion among panelists and audience members about local and statewide mental health resources and how their availability has changed in recent years. TWL also announced its slate of board members for the 2026-2027 season, looking to the future of leadership in the legal community. Congratulations to our nominee, Judge Stephen Everett, on being selected to receive this year's Meenu T. Sasser Outstanding Jurist Award. This award is presented by the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division each year to a jurist who demonstrates outstanding integrity, sound legal reasoning, and wise mentorship. Expressing gratitude, he cited the support of his friends and colleagues.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., in Bonnet Creek Ballroom VI at Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida, during the Florida Bar Annual Convention. A round of applause for Judge Everett!
