Providence Neighborhood Association A community organization that meets the 3rd MONDAY of every month discussing relevant information This association produces 3 events a year.

The Providence Neighborhood Association (PNA) follows the Providence Neighborhood Renaissance Plan designed for the betterment of the Providence community. Some of the notable goals that have been achieved from the plan are as follows:
*A neighborhood community center has been constructed.
*Seventeen new single family homes and town homes have been built.
*Many existing homes and apartments have b

een repaired or remolded.*
*3.7 million dollars in street improvements have been made (including rebuilding roads, closing ditches, adding sidewalks, and installing curb and gutter drainage.)
* Additional street lights have been installed.
*Overall neighborhood crime has been reduced.
*An annual cleanup event is held (Sponsored by City of Tallahassee Underground Utilities)
*Health care services and counseling has been brought to the neighborhood. We have also expanded our projects that we perform on an annual basis. The first event is the MLK Day Oratory Speech Celebration. This event is designed to facilitate prowess in public presentations as well as public speaking.

2. The second event is the Neighborhood Fun Day which has historically been sponsored by private individuals as well as the City of Tallahassee Underground Utility, Providence Baptist Church, and Trinity Methodist Church. This is a back to school event that features food and fun. We have many guests like the Providence Camera Club, Red Cross and the Tallahassee Museum.

3. The third event is the annual Talent Showcase. This event is held in conjunction with Halloween. The members of our community and well as their special guests are afforded an opportunity to share their talents in front of the entire community.

This Saturday at the community center there will be a voters education event. Come find out about your polling place, what new laws and rules may affect how you vote in the next elections. Your elections supervisor will be present to answer any questions! See you at the community center at 2PM.
