A well deserved recognition from as award to Ms Annie M. Johnson, the founder of Project Annie, at the 2026 Desert Conference Gala Day. Since 2008, Project Annie has been the heart of Frenchtown providing quality childcare, nourishing meals, and hope to families throughout Tallahassee. What started as a small childcare center has grown into a community institution. The annual Thanksgiving meal program, volunteer partnerships with local universities, and countless acts of kindness have touched thousands of lives.

Jubilee Day is an annual observance celebrated by the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine (A.E.A.O.N.M.S.), widely known as the Prince Hall Shriners. It commemorates the landmark June 3, 1929, U.S. Supreme Court ruling that legally affirmed the organization’s existence, identity, and right to practice.

Historical Significance: After a 15-year legal battle against rival groups, the Supreme Court ruled that the A.E.A.O.N.M.S. members were legitimate Shriners entitled to their name, emblems, and regalia

Date of Observance: It is traditionally celebrated on the Sunday closest to June 3rd.

Activities: Temples across the country gather for special public worship services, banquets, and community reflections to honor the perseverance of their founding members.

There aren’t enough “Thank Yous” to give to really illustrate that level of appreciation that we have for all of the genuine help and fellowship that was on display this past weekend. 2026 Desert Conference Gala Day was one for the books. To all of the visiting Nobles and Daughters we hope that you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves because it was our pleasure to host this year. All we can say is WOOOOW, what a time??!!! Did you enjoy yourselves??
