We were pleased to be part of the Big O Street Forum, with NWFHN board member Representative Michelle Salzman. 💙

This event brought community members and local partners together for an important conversation about opioid addiction and the ways our community can come together to support individuals and families affected by it.

We appreciated hearing from Escambia County CORE, Dr. Mona Chekragari, and Shelby Meaders as they shared valuable information and insights. Our team also had the opportunity to share more about our Fatherhood Initiative, NWF Health Connects, and the resources available to our community.

Today, NWFHN CEO, Mike Watkins, met with Leon County Sheriff Walt McNeil and the Leon County Sheriff's Office command staff to discuss opportunities to strengthen our partnership and expand behavioral health resources across the criminal justice system.

Together, we explored ways to enhance support for individuals through diversion efforts, crisis response, and re-entry services. By working collaboratively, we can improve access to care and create healthier outcomes for our communities.

Thank you to Sheriff McNeil and the Leon County Sheriff's Office for their continued partnership and commitment to improving behavioral health across our region.
