Tallahassee, FL Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi

Tallahassee, FL Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi Welcome to the Tallahassee, FL Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi page! Pi Beta Phi was founded on April 28, 1867, at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois.

Our 12 founders had the vision to form the first secret society for women patterned after men’s groups at a time when only five state universities admitted women. These courageous women set the stage for a thriving organization continuing to enrich the lives of many during their collegiate years and beyond. Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women distinguishes itself in the fraternity and sorority world

by leading the way as one of the first of seven founding members of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). Pi Phi was also the first to organize a national philanthropic project, form an alumnae department and establish an Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) for each collegiate chapter. Today, Pi Beta Phi continues to encourage women to develop meaningful relationships as they reach for their personal goals. Collegiate membership in Pi Beta Phi and the relationships it yields help members adjust to college life by providing a sense of belonging, mutual support and leadership development. As an alumna, members are part of a network of sisterhood and friendship of more than 120,000 sisters worldwide.

Attention Tallahassee alumnae!

The Florida Beta Chapter at Florida State University is in need of Alumnae Advisory Committee members. An AAC role is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have as a Pi Phi alumna. It is an amazing feeling to see the chapter leaders grow into confident young women under your mentorship and to witness their sense of pride and accomplishment as their chapter flourishes.

We’ve got a great team of women already on board to support FL Beta, but we need a few more like YOU!

If you are interested in learning more about serving on AAC, please email Ashley Corley (info below) and provide three times and dates you are available for a fifteen minute phone call in the next two weeks. If you have suggestions on others who would be interested, we would welcome their support.

If you are unable to serve on AAC at this time, you can always show your support for Pi Phi through paying your alumna dues via Pi Phi's website, donating to Pi Beta Phi Foundation, or volunteering for the Tallahassee, FL Alumnae Club.

Thank you,

Ashley H. Corley
