VET Inc is a 501(c)(3) non profit that is powered entirely by volunteers (to include our executive board members), sponsors, and donations.

We are not able to produce the "Best Darn" Veterans day parade in America without our amazing volunteers.

We are not able to cover the costs of producing the "Best Darn" Veterans day parade in America without the wonderful contributions and financial support from our sponsors and donations.

This organization would not exist without the unwavering support from our day ones (founding partners), like Jackson Properties.

Despite the cold weather, at 10:40 AM, tomorrow 11 November, the best darn Veterans day parade will kick off, it will just be the coldest best darn Veterans day parade!

Bundle up, stay warm and we'll see y'all out there.

The Veterans day parade wouldn't be complete without the festivities before and after. Registration for VETFest is now open.

While we love all of our vendors however, we're especially looking forward to seeing the wonderful team from the Leon County Property Appraiser office (and maybe a specific person 😉).

If you have a cool product and or service, or provide a service that is especially beneficial to Veterans, or just have some of the best food in town, fill out that registration form and we'll see you out there.

As with previous years, free face painting for the kiddos and those "not kiddos" that just want their face painted 😃.

What better way to engage the little ones, we'll even find a few Veterans or two willing to give instructions on how to apply camo 🤩

We're thrilled to announce that registration for the "Best Darn Veterans day parade" is now open. We had some issues with our forms, but after a complete rebuild, they are humming like the tinnitus most of us have!

The Big Bend area is home to countless Veterans of many generations and eras, come out and show them you appreciate living in the land of the free because of the brave.

They will be soon offloaded, placed in buckets and kept hydrated until it's time to distribute this Saturday, 9:00 AM at 241 Lake Ella Drive.

We're happy to help fund Holidays for Heroes again this year however, we cannot do it alone. We've had several organizations such as the local chapter of Operation Second Chance, as well as some private donors.

We are contributing our usual donation, which covers about just a bit under a quarter of the costs, but are ensuring that the costs are covered, regardless of how much is raised.

There will be nearly forty trees, ranging from as small as 5 feet up as large as 7 feet, which are for Veterans in our community who would not normally be able to purchase a live tree, with lights and a stand provided. You must have proof of service in order to get a tree, lights, and or stand.

Distribution will be 7 December 2024 from 0900 until there are no more trees left. Depending on the weather, it will be held either at the "Ho**ch", 241 Lake Ella Drive or at the American Legion Sauls-Bridges Post 13 Tallahassee Fl

We will provide more information as it becomes available.

I have personally spoken to the family and what I was told made my heart heavier. Our departed son and mother souls absolutely enjoyed participating in the Veterans day parade, and have dedicated countless hours in service of elderly rights, especially those that are Veterans, respectively.

On behalf of myself, the board members and volunteers of VET Inc, and perhaps the entire Veteran community in the Big Bend Area, are devastated by this loss and will never be ungrateful of their sacrifice and commitment to the Veteran community.
