Citizens for a Sustainable Future

Citizens for a Sustainable Future Founded over a decade ago (2012), CSF has a rich history of grassroots activism and community engagement.

Citizens for a Sustainable Future engages in creative collaborations that empower Black Communities to seek environmental justice through the implementation of research-driven solutions that enhance their resilience and sustainability. Our journey began with a group of passionate individuals who recognized the urgent need to address environmental disparities and advocate for sustainable solutions

in our community. Over the years, our organization has grown in size and influence, becoming a trusted voice in advocating for environmental justice, equitable access to resources, and civic engagement for Black residents in our community and across the nation. Organizational Values:

At CSF, our core values guide every aspect of our work:
Community-Centered: We believe that real change comes from within the community. We actively engage residents and prioritize their voices in decision-making processes. Equity and Justice: We are unwavering in our commitment to achieving environmental justice and dismantling systemic disparities that affect African American communities. Sustainability: Sustainability is at the heart of our efforts. We work to create a future where economic, social, and environmental needs are balanced and harmonious. Collaboration: We recognize the power of partnerships and actively collaborate with local, regional, and national organizations that share our goals.

πŸ’š Thank you, Tallahassee! 🌍

Our hearts are full after the 2026 Tallahassee Earth Day Festival .

Even though the rain came through and we had to close earlier than planned, we are still so grateful. After the drought our city has been experiencing, we can’t help but be thankful for the rain β€” and thankful for everyone who showed up, supported, and made the day meaningful.

A special thank you to:

✨ Our sponsors
✨ Our hosts
✨ Our vendors
✨ Our activity table hosts
✨ Our performers
✨ Our artist
✨ DJ L-Smooth with VEZ Productions
✨ Our sound production crew
✨ Our volunteers
✨ Our planning team
✨ And every attendee who came out to celebrate with us

It truly took a community to bring this event to life, and we appreciate your time, energy, partnership, and support.

If you enjoyed the festival and want to help us continue this work, please consider supporting Citizens for a Sustainable Future. Your support helps us continue community programs, events, and environmental education throughout the year.
