Prevention is an investment, not just an expense.

Florida’s Children’s Services Councils and Trusts invest more than $200 million annually in out-of-school-time programs, supporting parents’ workforce participation, community stability, and student success.

Through in local resources like child care and out-of-school-time programs, CSCs and Trusts help keep children safe, provide opportunities for learning and development, and allow parents to work and provide for their families. Thank you to Laura Haase and Children's Services Council of Martin County for continuing to keep the community informed about how local tax dollars are invested to support children and families!

Through transparency, collaboration, and partnerships with local organizations, CSC helps strengthen the network of care available to our community and ensures resources make a meaningful difference where they are needed most. These efforts demonstrate the power of working together to create a for children and families across Martin County!

Over the past two weeks, CSCMC Executive Director Laura Haase has taken the Power of Prevention on the road!

In presentations to the Young Professionals of Martin County, Treasure Coast Builders Association, and the Kiwanis Club of Stuart , she shared how CSCMC invests local tax dollars in prevention and early intervention so children can succeed in school and in life.

From children's health and kindergarten readiness to student support and family stability, these investments address challenges early, before they become more difficult and more costly to solve. Every presentation is also a chance for residents to see how their tax dollars support programs right here in Martin County.
