Mr. Henderson will also be the featured speaker for the Georgia Archives' October 9 Lunch & Learn program.

We are very pleased to announce that author Rose Marie Worley will tell us about her book Bound for Glory at our monthly meeting on Sunday, June 28th. From the back cover of Bound for Glory:
Bound for Glory A Story of Family, Farming, and Faith
Nestled in northwest Gadsden County, Florida, close to the Florida-Georgia line, the once-
thriving community of Glory was a testament to resilience, faith, and the enduring power of
family. From its early days with bustling general stores, a school, a post office, and family-run
farms, Glory was more than a place. It was a way of life.
In this richly detailed narrative, Bound for Glory A Story of Family, Farming, and Faith traces the
journey of the Richard Mathews family, who settled in the area in 1847 and helped shape the
land and the legacy that still echo through local roots today. Drawing from extensive research,
personal letters, and treasured memories, author Rose Marie Worley portrays the unique
challenges and triumphs of North Floridaโ€™s rural communities during a pivotal time in history.
