Over the past semester, we have achieved several great milestones and we'd love to share them with you: We received a partnership with The Center for Leadership and Social Change for the 2014 - 2015 school year, so check us out in our new office space soon. Our President won the Spirit of Service Award from FSU Women Student Union, thanks to her dedication to the community and her service with us. We hosted the first ever, Florida screening of IMPACT: AFTER THE CRASH - DOCUMENTARY with our National service partner, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to a full, tearful room. Two of our sisters will be graduating in this upcoming week; while one of our alumni has just been accepted to serve with CityYear for the upcoming school year and of course, we have finally served 100 hours for this semester. We can't wait until next year to continue to astonish you all. Thank you for supporting us!

We're a few weeks late but we would still like to take the time to celebrate the 10 astonishing ladies that worked tirelessly to bring Alpha Kappa back and paint Florida State's campus in maroon and white. On April 16th, 2012, the Alpha Kappa Reactivating petition was approved and two years later, we are still here. Happy Gammaversary to the S.T.R.U.G.G.L.E! Without you all, we would never be able to impact the community like we have today. Thank you for all you have done.

It's been one year since we've introduced T.R.I.A.L to the land of maroon and white. They've been doing a great job of carrying on the legacy of friendship, service, and equality. Happy Gammaversary to #2, Cover Girl and #4, Digit!

"In 1952, our founders knew what to do... They took the Gamma and the Sigma and timed it by two..." Today marks 61 years of service to the community; so here's to the maroon and white that we love. Wee-Oop to all the girls in garnets and pearls. Happy Founders' Day.

Just hours ago, we held our first event of Six Shades of Service: Red Light Vigil. We were able to encourage 50+ students to take the pledge against drunk driving and we were honored with the presence of M.A.D.D at our candlelight vigil. WCTV caught all the action and featured us on the 11 o'clock news. In case you missed it, check the link below!

The vigil honored those that have been killed by drunk drivers.
