Climate justice means protecting human dignity, everywhere. 🌍
In places devastated by war, the climate crisis worsens already unbearable conditions. According to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), the entire Gazan population faces high levels of acute food insecurity. An estimated 500,000 people, or one in five, are on the brink of starvation.
When access to food, clean water, shelter, and medical care is denied, it highlights how closely climate justice and human rights are linked. genCLEO believes no one should face starvation, displacement, or environmental collapse—no matter who they are or where they live.
We stand with youth across the globe who are demanding safety, dignity, and justice, including climate activist Greta Thunberg and other humanitarian advocates who have taken bold stands in solidarity with people in Gaza, Congo, Sudan, Haiti, and other places where climate change deepens humanitarian crises, especially for vulnerable communities. We urge the safe release of all who are unjustly detained.
In a warming world, we can’t solve the climate crisis without addressing resource access. Solidarity is how we build a just and livable future—for all.
