💚 Help Us Keep Mental Health Support Groups Running!

NAMI Tallahassee is looking for Virtual Support Group Producers to help make our free mental health support groups possible!

You don't need to be a mental health professional! We're looking for dependable, compassionate individuals who are comfortable using Zoom and want to make a meaningful difference in our community.

As a volunteer producer, you'll receive a small monetary stipend for each support group you support while managing the technical side of our virtual meetings, allowing our trained facilitators to focus on what matters most: supporting participants.

💚 We’re incredibly grateful to the Tallahassee Democrat for shining a spotlight on NAMI Tallahassee and the people who make this work possible.

At the heart of NAMI is something simple but powerful: lived experience. People who have been there, who understand, and who are willing to reach back and remind someone else, “You are not alone.”

📣 We’re hiring!

NAMI Tallahassee and Big Bend AHEC are recruiting a full-time AmeriCorps Member with the National Mental Health Corps for a 10-month service term beginning this fall.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in our community while building hands-on experience in the mental health field. You’ll work alongside our teams to expand mental health education, support community outreach and events, build partnerships, and help connect individuals and families with resources.

Along the way, you’ll receive professional mental health training and certifications and gain experience in community engagement, program development, communications, evaluation and more—skills that can be especially valuable for someone pursuing a career in behavioral health, healthcare, social services, education or public health.

The position includes a $21,000 living allowance + $7,395 education award upon successful completion, along with student loan forbearance and professional development opportunities.

Most importantly, you’ll spend 10 months doing work that matters—helping us reduce stigma, strengthen mental health education and make support more accessible throughout our community.
