GOTA (Get On The Air) is a way for unlicensed people to make a contact via amateur radio. If you have a Technician license and want to try HF, or maybe your license allows HF but you haven’t been active, this is a great opportunity for you!! Field Day is ham radio's open house and is just around the corner! We will be having our Field Day at the same place at last year (Tom Brown Park - across from the pickleball courts). This event is open to the public to learn about amateur radio! We will have multiple stations for various means of communications (phones, CW, digital, VHF, satellite). Save the dates... Saturday, June 27th @ 2:30pm EST until Sunday, June 28th @ 2pm EST!

We welcome the public to come learn more about ham radio!

Also, we will having our weekly social lunch inside the American Red Cross this week. You will find us there this Thursday around 11:30am. It's a great way to be social with fellow hams!

The TARS monthly meeting is tomorrow night (Thursday) at 7pm at the American Red Cross! We had a different schedule this week so you still have a chance to come join us! New people interested in amateur radio are welcome to join!

Also happening tomorrow is our social lunch at 11:30am. We plan on meeting at the Tom Brown Park. As always, bring a chair and a lunch!

Tom Brown Park is dry enough to have our social gathering today… so the park it will be! Please join is if you can. We will be across from the pickleball courts from now until about 1pm. Everyone shows up and leaves when they like. Be sure to bring a chair and a snack. Hope to see ya there!
