Omo Elegun Cultural Performing Arts Collective Inc. Omo Elegun prides itself on being a collection of families committed to preparing our children to meet the challenges they will face in today’s society.

Omo Elegun intends to surround the children of our Tallahassee community and abroad with culturally consistent artistic activities that will not only expose them to the art forms, but can also be used as a vehicle for learning life lessons. Weaving life lessons, communal and family history, and mechanisms to deal with the day to day challenges of life into artistic expression has long since been a

n integral part of African culture. Omo Elegun intends to teach our children effective methods of, and arm them with proven tools of progressing forward by reaching back and re-utilizing the Art forms of antiquity that have been handed down through the generations of African people. The parents of Omo Elegun are as much a part of Omo Elegun as are the directors and members. Being a part of Omo Elegun is to be a part of family; a family that is continually forged together by the obstacles that we ultimately triumph over together as a community…..as a family.
