Born and raised in Gainesville and a Levy County resident for more than 30 years, Rep. Johnson has spent his whole life in District 22, including his time as a Levy County Commissioner. He knows these communities, and he knows the officers who serve them. In Tallahassee, he has been a dependable partner to the men and women who keep Alachua, Gilchrist, and Levy counties safe, from patrol and corrections to dispatch and beyond.

When the hurricane tore through Florida’s Panhandle, our correctional officers and staff were hit hard. With help and cooperation from FDC leadership, State Corrections PBA President Jim Baiardi and Senior Vice President Danny Witt delivered much-needed supplies directly to members and their families affected by the storm.

We know these supplies can’t fix everything our members are facing right now. But we hope they bring a little relief and make the road to recovery a bit easier.

Our correctional officers show up for Florida every day, especially when times are toughest. Now it’s our turn to show up for them.

The Florida PBA isn’t just an organization. We’re a family, and family takes care of its own, in good times and bad.

To every member working to rebuild: stay strong, stay safe, and know your PBA is with you every step of the way.
