Today we honor the life and legacy of Guy Moore — a true entrepreneur, passionate Seminole, and one of Florida State University’s great ambassadors.

For decades, Guy helped define what it meant to wear the Garnet and Gold. Through the business he built from the ground up, generations of Seminole fans proudly displayed their FSU spirit, and a visit to Garnet & Gold became a tradition for many traveling to Tallahassee.

As the retail landscape changed and competition intensified, Guy continued to push forward with determination and loyalty to his employees, customers, and fellow Seminoles.

Guy was also a valued friend and supporter of the Tallahassee Quarterback Club, generously providing our annual football allotment and gift cards for countless door prizes over the years. As we often say at our meetings, Garnet & Gold is the only locally owned Seminole sports store—a distinction that reflected Guy’s pride and commitment to serving the Seminole family.

More than a businessman, Guy helped build and sustain Seminole pride for generations.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Guy’s family, friends, employees, and all who knew him.

Thank you for everything, Guy.

We mourn the passing of Dave Lang, a cherished and longtime member of the Tallahassee Quarterback Club. Dave was, in every sense, one of the finest gentlemen our community has known—kind, genuine, and always carrying a warm smile that made others feel welcome.

For many years, he faithfully offered the invocation at our dinner gatherings, setting the tone with grace and sincerity. His steady presence and quiet character left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know him.

Dave was a man deeply admired and widely respected, and his absence will be felt by many.

Rest in peace, Dave.

Since 1949, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club has supported the game of football and championed local high school student-athletes across our community. For more than 75 years, this organization has stood for excellence, leadership, and service to the next generation.

Adam’s leadership, passion for the game, and commitment to our community make him a perfect addition to our board as we continue strengthening that legacy.

We are very sad to hear of the passing of a long-time and beloved club member Beth Burr. Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband, Tom Burr, of 54 years.
