Tallahassee Active Lifelong Leaders Preview Party

Now in its 16th year, the TALL program empowers seniors to drive positive change through advocacy, volunteerism, and leadership. In partnership with Leadership Tallahassee, this 8-week journey begins in January and offers a behind-the-scenes look at our vibrant community.

📢 Gym Schedule Update – October 14 & 15

Please be advised that Pickleball and Basketball will be temporarily unavailable on Wednesday, October 14, and Thursday, October 15. Both activities will resume on Friday, October 16.

New hash marks have been added to the pickleball courts, and the paint requires two full days to dry to ensure the courts are ready for use.

✅ Fitness classes will continue as scheduled! Strong for Life and Walking classes will still be available during this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these improvements to our facilities.

Our Grandparents as Parents (GaP) program is for those who are the primary caregivers for their grandchildren and offers support groups, informational luncheons, plus social activities for the whole grand-family.

GaP Evening Support Group
Join other grandparents to socialize and discuss your unique situation.
Meets via Zoom, every other Monday evening, 7:00-8:00 pm
Next date: Oct. 19

GaP Support Lunch & Learn
Enjoy an educational presentation, community agencies, legal services and health screenings, plus a complimentary lunch for grandparents or other relative caregiver. Meets on the last Wednesday of the month, 12:00–1:30 pm

What a wonderful Open House! We loved welcoming familiar friends and new faces to the Tallahassee Senior Center's location at Welaunee!

It was exciting to see everyone exploring the beautiful new spaces and sharing their enthusiasm for all the programs, activities, and connections to come!

A big thank-you to our amazing community partners for celebrating this exciting milestone with us! We are grateful to Premier Fine Homes for sponsoring the Open House.

The Southside Senior Outreach Program received a generous donation from the North Florida Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives - NOBLE.

Tonja B. Smith, the chapter’s president, reached out and offered to donate portable fans and blankets for our seniors. We are so grateful to Tonja and NOBLE for thinking of our seniors and for their willingness to give back to the community!

This donation is also a wonderful example of the spirit behind National Faith & Blue Weekend, October 9–12, which NOBLE proudly recognizes. This nationwide movement brings law enforcement and communities together through meaningful engagement. The goal is to build stronger relationships and safer neighborhoods.

A heartfelt thank you to Tonja and NOBLE for their generosity and for helping us continue to make a positive impact in the lives of our seniors!

It’s always encouraging to see community partners find ways to support the older adults we serve. These acts of kindness make a difference!
