We are the newly-reinstated Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity located in Tallahassee, FL. We’re a part of the Lambda B Province, and we serve Tallahassee and surrounding areas through our support of musical and performing arts. Our goal is to spread the love of music and be positive, supportive, and active members of our community. We look forward to pr

🌟SISTER SPOTLIGHT🌟 Sister Holly Larkin is a school psychologist for the Hernando County School District in Spring Hill, Florida. 👩🏻‍🏫 She is a Spring 2016 initiate of the Beta Alpha chapter from Florida State University. ❤️💛Holly earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from FSU in 2017 and her Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from the University of Central Florida in Spring of 2020. Currently, she is working on her Ph.D. in School and Counseling Psychology at FSU with a research focus on animal assisted therapy, specifically the impact of dogs on emotional well-being in college students. 🐶🐕🦮🐕‍🦺 In regards to music, Holly has been playing violin since 2005 and recently picked up learning the guitar. She also enjoys singing with her sisters. 🎶 She is currently serving as our Vice President of Ritual! She enjoys watching FSU football and a cold Diet Coke in her free time.

This past weekend TAC welcomed Sisters Nia, Karen, and Angelese through our Affiliation Ceremony. ❤️🌹 We love knowing that Sisterhood is for life and are so excited for these ladies to be apart of TAC! 🥳🥳 Also, thank you to all the collegiate sisters who came out to support them. ❤️

What do you do for a living?: I work for a fine arts nonprofit, the Portrait Society of America, as their special programs and outreach coordinator, i.e. marketing. I have a certification in arts management.

Why are you a rose?: In undergrad, I always wanted to join a sorority and be connected to a group of girls, but none of them seemed like a good fit for me. When I got to grad school, they had an SAI chapter full of ladies who love music, and I knew that was the group I wanted to belong to. I joined the Kappa Epsilon chapter as a grad student.

How long have you been in music?: I’ve been taking some form of music lessons since age 9, starting with the violin and performing in youth orchestras. I joined the choir in high school which led me to pursue music/vocal performance as a major in undergrad. I currently play piano and sing at my church as well as perform in local community theatre musicals.

Why is music important to you?: Music is a universal language. No matter who you are, music will speak to you in some way, shape, or form.

What skills do you bring to the table?: I have strong administrative skills, so I’m very organized and can write agendas, emails, and minutes professionally. My first e-board position within the Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter was as Corresponding and Recording Secretary, which I thought was a great fit for my strengths. I have also been the President. ❤️🌹

🌹SISTER SHOUT OUT🌹: Ta’Nijha Wimes-Crandall ❤️

Ta’Nijha is the heart of a true Rose! As our devoted Sergeant-at-Arms, she keeps our chapter grounded in love, unity, and sisterhood. Outside of SAI, she shines as a dental assistant, using music to comfort patients and ease dental anxiety—proving that music truly heals. 🎶

Her light extends through school, community, and fraternity life, and through her work with ALARM International Elder Care Ministry, where she uplifts the elderly through song and spiritual encouragement. 🤍🙏🏽

On October 4th, Ta’Nijha celebrated her wedding, surrounded by Roses who filled the room with love, harmony, and sisterhood. 💍🌹

We love this cherished bond because it brings together hearts like hers—women who lead with grace, give selflessly, and spread the joy of music everywhere they go. ✨🎼
