Hey sisters! I just saw an email from a colleague reminding me of a great opportunity to help students in need. As we approach the end of the semester, money is a little tighter for some students and the weather is a bit colder. The Unconquered Scholars Program at FSU (info below) has an Amazon Wish List. Items of high priority are marked. Please consider supporting the students if you are able.
The Unconquered Scholars Program provides an array of support services promoting overall success to youth who experienced foster care, homelessness, relative care, or ward of the State status. Many Scholars have faced profound hardships during childhood that may increase their risk of leaving academia without a degree. Florida State University is committed to meeting the unique needs of Unconquered students so they experience the long-term professional and personal benefits associated with educational attainment. Hey, y'all! Don't forget about the "First Thursday" event today for Alumnae Panhellenic! I'll be late (teaching til 6pm) but it will kick off at 5:30 at Beignets & Brews in the Market Square Shopping Center. The service component this month is a non-perishable food drive and there will be a 50/50 drawing. If you can make it, come on out!
