Jack and Jill of America, Inc., was founded by Marion Stubbs Thomas on January 24, 1938, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1946, the National Organization was incorporated under the laws of the State of Delaware. Since that meeting in 1938, chapters have been organized across the entire United States, and as of August 2020, there are 252 chapters with 40,000 active and engaged family members. is d

ivided into seven regions for administrative purposes. They are the Central, Eastern, Far West, Mid-Atlantic, Mid-Western, South Central and Southeastern regions. The Tallahassee Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. was formally established September 15, 1951, as Florida's first Jack and Jill chapter. Now, 70 years old, we have maintained active participation in promoting the ideals of our National office. Since inception, the focus of our activities has been to work with and include the parents and children of families other than ours, and to engage in projects for the betterment of the local, state and national community.

School is officially back in full swing, and we’re wishing all of our children, educators, moms, dads, support personnel, and everyone who helps make our schools thrive a successful and blessed school year!

As our children walk into a new school year, we pray that they are covered, protected, encouraged, and surrounded by those who believe in their potential.

May they walk confidently into their classrooms, let their light shine bright, and embrace every opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. ✨

May they continue to see the light, even through challenges, and step boldly into all that this new season has in store. 💙💖

Day 3 Recap | 47th National Convention 🤍

Day 3 was filled with inspiration, reflection, and meaningful moments celebrating our history, leadership, and unwavering commitment to service.

The day began with the Associates Breakfast, followed by the powerful Sisters in Purpose: Our Power, Our Legacy, Our Light session, where sisterhood, purpose, and leadership took center stage.

We then gathered for the Legislative Luncheon, Rooted in Resistance, Grounded in Justice, Anchored in Democracy, a powerful reminder of the importance of advocacy, civic engagement, and our collective responsibility to help shape the future.

One of the day's most memorable moments was seeing our own Jill Bailey participate in the Living Wax Museum, portraying Dr. Eva C. Wanton, the 13th National President from the Tallahassee Chapter. Past and current National Presidents were honored for their extraordinary leadership and lasting contributions to Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Her participation was a proud moment for the Tallahassee Chapter and a beautiful tribute to the trailblazers whose legacy continues to inspire us.

As we continue celebrating our 75th Anniversary, we honor the leaders who came before us and remain committed to carrying their legacy forward through service, leadership, and excellence.

As we proudly celebrate our 75th Anniversary, it is with great honor that the Oh So Classy Tallahassee Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Florida’s First Chapter, received the prestigious Five Star Chapter Designation during the 47th National Convention in Baltimore, Maryland.

We are proud to represent the Southeastern Region on the national stage. This recognition marks the second time our chapter has earned this distinguished honor, with our first Five Star Chapter Designation awarded in 2022.

This honor reflects the collective dedication of our mothers, children, and families. Together, through exceptional leadership, impactful service, innovative programming, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, we continue to elevate our chapter, strengthen our communities, and uphold the mission of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

For 75 years, our legacy has been defined by service, leadership, and excellence. Today, we celebrate this remarkable achievement and look forward to continuing to set the standard for generations to come.
