CRSA held its May Membership Meeting last night at the Tallahassee Builders Association! We were thrilled and blessed to have Mr. Matt Savin from FRSA Self Insurers Fund come speak to us about OSHA Fall Protection training requirements, techniques, and the latest safety innovations available to Tallahassee roofers. A fantastic dinner was provided by Mr. Cliff Fitzgerald of Sunniland Corporation and Cotney Construction Law Group kept us hydrated with the finest cold beers in the panhandle. Mr. Savin fielded questions from our group regarding what specific protective equipment was required in various roofing scenarios and he was even asked the most pressing question out there among the roofing industry: Just How Do We Make Our Employees Wear the Protective Gear We Provide? To that, Mr. Savin discussed the various company programs needed to discipline safety violators and additional programs which could help encourage safety compliance.
