State Corrections PBA at Charlotte CI:

Great visit today with our State Corrections PBA members at Charlotte Correctional Institution! We had the opportunity to talk with members, hear from them, and thank them for their continued service and dedication.

Florida’s correctional officers work one of the toughest and most dangerous beats in law enforcement, and we appreciate everything they do each and every day.

Thank you, Charlotte CI officers, for your service and for being part of the PBA family!

Today, State Correctional Officers Chapter President Jim Baiardi visited Wakulla Correctional Institution, spending time with officers and handing out bags filled with treats and PBA items.

It was great seeing everyone, talking with officers, and having the opportunity to personally thank them for the important work they do every day.

The PBA thanks all correctional officers across Florida for their service, dedication, and commitment to public safety, and a special thank-you to the officers at Wakulla CI for the warm welcome today.

The PBA is proud to stand with Florida’s correctional officers!

🇺🇸 A Strong Advocate for Florida’s Correctional Officers 🇺🇸

On Friday, I had the opportunity to meet with Representative Ryan Chamberlin to discuss the upcoming 2027 Legislative Session and the issues important to Florida’s correctional officers.

Representative Chamberlin has proven that he is a strong advocate for correctional officers. He sponsored legislation that extended peer-support confidentiality protections to correctional officers, recognizing the unique challenges our members face.

He also supported legislation providing important health insurance benefits to correctional officers who suffer a catastrophic injury in the line of duty, helping protect officers and their families when they need it most.

These are real examples of Representative Chamberlin standing up for the men and women who work in corrections.

He has also consistently been a strong advocate for law enforcement and correctional probation officers, and we appreciate his continued support.

The State Correctional Officers Chapter of the Florida PBA is proud to stand with Representative Chamberlin and support his reelection. We look forward to continuing to work with him during the 2027 Legislative Session.

Thank you, Representative Chamberlin, for standing with Florida’s correctional officers! 🇺🇸💙

🇺🇸 A Strong Supporter of Florida’s Correctional Officers

For years, Chase Brannan has demonstrated his support for Florida’s correctional officers—not just during an election, but long before he decided to run for the Florida House.

Chase has consistently attended events involving corrections and has made it a point to stay connected with the men and women who work in our correctional facilities. When an incident occurs that affects correctional officers, we often hear from Chase expressing his concern for our members and the entire law-enforcement community.

Chase understands the challenges facing Florida’s correctional officers, including the need for better pay, improved benefits, and the resources officers need to safely do their jobs. His campaign has specifically made correctional officer pay raises and resources a priority.

The State Correctional Officers Chapter of the Florida PBA appreciates Chase Brannan’s longstanding support of our profession and his commitment to making corrections a priority in Tallahassee.

For correctional officers who live and vote in Florida House District 10, the State Correctional Officers Chapter calls on you to support Chase Brannan in the Republican Primary on August 18th.

A vote for Chase Brannan is a vote for a stronger future for Florida’s correctional officers. 🇺🇸💙

Today was another great day supporting the dedicated correctional officers at Union Correctional Institution!

The Florida PBA was proud to stop by and show our appreciation by providing snacks and PBA items to the hardworking men and women who serve each day behind the walls. It was a wonderful opportunity to visit with so many officers, thank them for their commitment, and let them know their hard work and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.

The appreciation was mutual, and we truly enjoyed spending time with everyone. Thank you to all of the correctional officers at Union CI for your professionalism, dedication, and the important work you do every day. The Florida PBA is proud to stand with you and represent the finest correctional professionals in the nation.

Stay safe, and thank you for your service!

Today, we want to recognize and congratulate the outstanding members of FDC's K-9 Unit from Cross City Correctional Institution for their exceptional work in helping locate a missing woman.

Working alongside local authorities, these dedicated correctional officers and their K-9s successfully tracked the missing woman through a wooded area near her home, ultimately locating her safe and sound.

This is a powerful reminder that correctional officers are committed to public safety both inside and outside the walls of our institutions. Their professionalism, training, and willingness to serve extend far beyond the correctional facility, making a real difference in the communities they protect.

Thank you to the members of FDC's K-9 team for your outstanding service, dedication, and teamwork. We are proud of your efforts and grateful for your commitment to keeping Floridians safe.
Congratulations on a job well done!
