We were honored to attend the ABA Annual Meeting in Orlando! Kamiya represented Camp Amigo and shared her experience as a burn survivor and former camper to highlight the impact burn camp has on healing and connection.

We are grateful for the opportunity to network with firefighters and counselors from across the country and share the survivor stories of our campers with an incredible community.

What an incredible day at Camp Amigo's Annual Golf Tournament! The weather could not have been more perfect, and seeing our community come together to support our campers was truly heartfelt and something we are so grateful for.

We had some amazing prizes, great energy, and some serious skill on the course. Congratulations to our traveling helmet winner, who earned the award with an impressive 18 under!

Amigos, today was unforgettable! Our group activities were a blast, and the lunch that was provided by Orange County Fire Fighters Association, IAFF 2057 was so good! 😊
Everyone was amazed when the Fire & Iron MC, Station 15 arrived! 😎🙌 All the campers loved meeting them and checking out their bikes. The fun continued with outdoor activities, some pool time, and now the night has ended perfectly with s'mores and a movie 🍿📽️ What a perfect way to spend our last night at camp reflecting on this exciting day and the memories we will never forget. 💛

What a day! We started with sunrise fishing and ended with a safari themed dance with some great music and games. 🦁Somewhere in-between we enjoyed the slip slides, kickball and nonstop fun with friends. ☀️💦
We are so excited to be here with Camp Tequesta! Moments like these remind us just how special this camp community really is. 🫶

We've arrived at Camp Tequesta 2025! ☀️ It was a great day of travel, swimming, team activities, and laughter! Our Camp Amigo family is ready to start the safari adventure and make memories with friends. We are grateful to join this incredible community of burn survivors and supporters. At Camp Amigo, we know firsthand how one moment can change a life forever. This Fire Prevention Week, we're encouraging every family to take a moment to talk with your kids about safety, but these conversations shouldn't stop when the week ends.
🧑‍🍳Talk about precautions while cooking
🚪Remind them to check doors before opening during an emergency
🏃‍♂️Practice an escape plan and remind them to never hide.
💡Keep these lessons alive with simple monthly reminders, family drills, and quick "what would you do?" chats.

The more often children hear and practice safety, the more confident they'll be if an emergency ever happens.

Zion wrapped up his final day at the national burn camp with an unforgettable confidence challenge while being cheered on by his new friends and fellow campers. 🙌 The encouragement, bravery, and smiles on everyone's faces made it a memorable day.

That evening, everyone dressed up for a final dinner and dance to celebrate the friendships and memories made throughout the week. Campers enjoyed a delicious meal together before the awards ceremony where each camper was recognized for completing their leadership classes. They can proudly include this achievement on future resumes and college applications.

This morning came early as Zion headed back to the airport, ✈️ now an experienced flyer and full of stories to share with his family!

We're so proud of Zion and grateful for Travis, whose mentorship and support throughout the week meant so much. Thank you to International Association of Fire Fighters and everyone who made this week possible for burn survivors and counselors across the country. The support, courage, and community shared here are truly unforgettable.
