To promote biodiversity of wildlife, as well, with a central focus on endangered keystone species
in Africa.. Our ultimate mission is seek out and recognize the biodiversity of endangered wildlife in Africa, with a particular interest on the magnificent African elephants, whose survival depends on the attitude and education of mankind. Hence, understanding human ecology and how our species affec
ts all others, is essential - if children and people are educated in this field, the torch of survival will be passed to them. Our ultimate potential, as humans, cannot be reached until we realize that we should not to be the ultimate controllers of natural life on earth, and that all other species should be allowed their own domains, as it was in the beginning of mankind. This change in attitude promotes a well-balanced world, enabling the survival of essential flora and fauna. As elephants are known as the Keystone species, due to the life that proliferates from their dung and their lives in general, we must conserve with an emphasis on intertwined ecosystems and long-term survival of wildlife in their natural habitats in Africa. The African elephant's balance of life is essential to the well-being and survival of other endangered species, and hominids as well. We believe that young people, in general, worldwide, from Africa to China, need to become educated about the ecology of this essential spring of intertwined life, so that future generations will become knowledgeable enough to appreciate wilderness and wildlife, so that all may observe, study, and enjoy the presence of wildlife on earth. Our plan would consist of networking strategies as well as meeting with other conservationists, in order to brainstorm and pick worthwhile conservation projects that we can enhance and assist in. By helping others to halt poaching, as well as the smuggling and sale of ivory (which go hand-n-hand), we will concern ourselves with the decline of African wildlife, their ecology, habitats, and their conflict with man 's lust for land and money. Forever Trunks will be 'in the trenches' of elephant conservation activism; assisting this iconic, astonishing, and extremely vulnerable species, ensuring their survival, and consequently the survival of other pachyderms and inter-dependent species, saving them from functional extinction. It is through focused and committed conservation and in time, a return to the balance of mother nature, herself, that we are most ultimately concerned with. With changing laws, education, and raised awareness of the devastating affects of species annihilation, we believe attitudes regarding and affecting the lives and deaths of pachyderms, people are gradually becoming more aware of the abusive and lethal conditions affecting their fate, globally. These ghastly situations are paramount in the decision to create sanctuaries for the protection of, primarily, elephants; we currently need more replicated natural habitats with high quality environments, where old, sick, abused, misplaced, and orphan elephants can re-locate. Our vision of an elephant haven is a place where these sensitive, social, and highly intelligent sentient animals, who have given up hope, can live again, rather than endure horrific circumstances. Most elephants who need sanctuaries to heal and find joy again, are fragile, with broken spirits, who require special care. Scientists have only begun to realize how highly evolved, social, and emotional these unique species are. SO capable of love are they , that most people cannot even comprehend their minds, intuitive nature, and enormous hearts, full of compassion for their families and other species as well. As previously mentioned, we intend to create an office on the site, in which elephant conservation activists will strategically fight against currently increased African poaching, an d, in turn, the smuggling and sales of ivory, globally, with China being the primary host - Elephant murders and abuse are currently spreading to near eastern countries, as well, where Asian elephants are being killed over habitat disputes and ivory, as well as being literally tortured for tourism as well as for working machines, to pull logs and additional work, for dusk to dawn all day, every day. As previously mentioned, the smuggling and sales of ivory is spreading their way also, while their familial elephant homes are being destroyed by man, simultaneously. Stopping these practices which disallow elephants from living in domains they have evolved and existed in for two million years, by having an office at each elephant haven, to address these problems, we will be addressing and thwarting the problems elephants face, which cause them to suffer in numerous ways, as well as the ultimate horror of genocide, leading to habitual extinction. While volunteers, comprised of trained college students and other people compassionate and knowledgeable to the pachyderm's plight, fight the war against apathy, ignorance, and greed, that affects elephants on a daily and global basis, to educate people worldwide about the painful plight of elephants is also our mission - we plan to change laws in and of governments, before these courageous and yet tragic animals endure even more pain, and extinction in the wild, we will be constantly networking to change the conditions for that adversely affect elephants, freeing them from being held hostage, and tortured daily, for pathetic human entertainment and greed - we will also have a staff, including an expanding board of directors, to work in all aspects of elephant awareness and taking care o the elephants who find their way to an alleviation of all pain, in the freedom of Forever Trunks Elephant Haven. Within this non-profit organization, we will devote our lives to saving these spectacular gentle giants at the elephant haven, as well as giving a great deal of energy to both Asian and African elephant and rhino conservation activism. A recent surge in territorial disputes between elephants and humans in the near east is causing a massive amount of elephant murders there, as well. The increased killing of elephants in Sumatra, Malaysia, and Thailand, etc., are also beginning to make Asian elephants prime targets for eventual extinction in the wild - these land war disputes between elephants and humans, by every indication, will further escalate. This tragic circumstance surrounding these elephants gives us an impetus to become more active in rescuing Asian elephants in the near east, as well as to become active in this part of the world as elephant conservationist activists and human ecologists - since both elephant and people problems collide and, in fact, merge into one big conundrum, this concept is really the only way to stare the problem in the face, and tackle it; this involves lobbying to change laws, educating people, (which is paramount), and evacuating the elephants whose ecosystems have been permanently destroyed by humans. Changing laws, attitudes, and educational goals, so that people, worldwide, become aware of the importance of these vitally important pachyderms and their intertwined ecosystems, in both Africa and Asia is a tremendous goal for FT. Giving abused, damaged, old, sick, and orphan elephants a haven where they can truly be elephants again, is equally as important as well. Thank you for your inquiries...
