This past Saturday, the Leon County Chapter of The Charmettes, Incorporated came together for our 2026 Sparkle with Purpose Retreat—a day filled with sisterhood, reflection, fellowship, and planning for the year ahead. ❤️

This August, the Palm Beach County Chapter of The Charmettes, Inc. proudly recognizes World Cancer Support Month by honoring the medical professionals, caregivers, families, friends, and volunteers who provide strength, comfort, and hope to those facing cancer.

Your compassion makes a difference every day. Together, let's continue to uplift survivors, support patients, and advance the fight against cancer through awareness, advocacy, and research.

The Leon County Chapter proudly attended the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee National Convention, themed “LXXV – Crowned in Legacy: A Royal Jubilee.”

During the convention, The Charmettes, Incorporated presented more than $2,000 in gift cards to the leadership of the Pink Ribbons, Blue Skies Foundation. Members also participated in two impactful community service initiatives by sprinkling red sand into the crevices of the Richard & Annette Bloch Cancer Survivors Park to raise awareness of human trafficking and supporting the Pink Ribbons, Blue Skies Foundation in its mission to serve individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

The convention was especially memorable as two Leon County Chapter members, Lois Scott and Jackye Maxey, were honored with Life Membership during the Life Member Induction Ceremony.

The Leon County Chapter also proudly celebrates the outstanding accomplishments of its members:

* Dr. Malinda Jackson-James received the Eunice W. Thompson Merit Award.
* Kara Palmer Smith received the Gwendolyn Baker Rodgers 2026 Spirit Award.
* Gladys Lang and Lisa Lang-Hannah were recognized for 35 years of National Convention attendance.
* Aurelia Alexander was recognized for 15 years of National Convention attendance.
* Chynelle Bruce and Tammy Hamlet were each recognized for 5 years of National Convention attendance.

The Leon County Chapter is proud to celebrate these distinguished achievements and remains committed to upholding the values of service, sisterhood, and excellence.
