Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend Supporting and educating young children through quality early learning, health, & family services.

Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend is a community organization serving children 0-3 years of age. Founded in 1972 by the late Budd Bell, we provide comprehensive Early Head Start services to 220 eligible children ages 6 weeks to 3 years in Jefferson, Leon and Madison counties. Kids Incorporated is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization and is a certified-member agency of the United Way of the Big Bend. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, Kids Incorporated continues to be guided by the conscience of our late founder, Budd Bell. Although Budd was honored by governors, former Secretary of State Colin Powell and was named one of Eckerd's Top 100 Women in America, she always believed that the best recognition for a job well done was a smile from a child. An Early Head Start Policy Council provides guidance from parents impacted by our programs as well as community leaders.

Our Jefferson County Early Head Start students had a groovy time stepping into Pete the Cat’s world! 🐱👟💙 They got to be Pete for the day and experience what it’s like to walk in his famous white shoes. What a fun way to bring a story to life!

Storytime came with sirens last week! 🚒

Our Bright Days Madison students welcomed the Madison County Fire Department and the Florida Forest Service, complete with fire engines and gear.

Our Jefferson County students also had a visit from Jefferson County Fire Rescue.

Thank you to these first responders for sharing stories and smiles with our little learners.

You made Thanks for Reading unforgettable! ❤️
