Well, to all our followers, fans and friends, I just retired from the City and will now be shifting my focus and ramping up towards full time support of Orphan Logistics & Relief. You should expect to see a greater presence on our page, more posts on issues and directions we will be taking, more support activities to more locations, just more more more.

The Hogar Reina de la Paz is an institution that houses, cares for, and schools adolescent girls (and their babies) who are victims of r**e, in**st, and sexual abuse. Currently 18 girls between the ages of 13 and 18 and their children live here. Paul and Patricia Schmidtke will be collecting donations for the home and are asking for your generosity and assistance this holiday season. The following is a list of priority needs:

1. Diapers from newborn to 18 months
2. Baby rash creams
3. Formula for babies and toddlers
4. Food for the babies and the young mothers
5. Toys for Christmas and/or presents for the mothers (perfume, deodorant, shampoo, creams, etc.)
6. The young mothers desperately need personal items
7. Anything else that can help have a little happiness this Christmas

*Preferably small items so they are easily shipped

We were recently contacted by two of our Orphan Logistics & Relief team members in Peru, about a mission to assist a girl’s home in Lima.

The private non-governmental facility is said to shelter pre-teen and teen sexual assault victims, in addition to housing young teen mothers who found themselves homeless.

Wile we don’t have all the details yet, it appears we will be supporting their efforts in one fashion or another very soon. A part of that mission, we will be pre-shipping as many non-perishable baby supplies as we can, while at the same time, funding local purchases of diapers and baby formula purchased and delivered in country by our members.
