Paralegal Association of Florida, Inc. Big Bend Chapter Our mission is to inspire and empower paralegals to be productive and successful by providing cutting edge continuing education and professional development.

Our main focus is to provide Continuing Legal Education approved by the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) through luncheons and seminars. Our CLE's are also approved for Florida Bar credit for Florida Registered Paralegals (FRP). Typically, the monthly CLE luncheons are held at Capital Area Red Cross Easterwood Drive on the 2nd Thursday of each month, except July. The Big Bend Chapte

r also hosts an Annual Spring Seminar on a Saturday for 6 hours of CLE credit. The Spring Seminar is often kicked off with a Friday night social and the seminar includes lunch and often, door prizes and raffles. The Chapter's Executive Committee usually meets on the first Monday of every month. We provide opportunities for volunteering, networking, and scholarships for student members in Paralegal Studies, or similar programs and for members seeking professional development certification.

Our Story

PAF exercises leadership and encourages a high order of ethical and professional attainment within the paralegal profession

Formed in 1976, the Paralegal Association of Florida (PAF) is the longest serving and largest statewide association for paralegals in Florida and a long-time affiliate of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).

The Big Bend Chapter of the Paralegal Association of Florida, Inc. is a network of paralegals and legal assistants from Tallahassee and the surrounding area in the big bend region of Florida.

PAF was the first NALA affiliate to offer a state specialty exam. Individuals successfully completing this intensive exam are entitled to use the title of Florida Certified Paralegal (FCP credential).
