Please join FANM (Family Action Network Movement) for a Community Vigil in solidarity with Power Up People, BLAM, ACLU, FLIC, Miami Workers Center, ACE, SEIU, City and State Officials, and many more, as we honor the 16th anniversary of Haiti’s 2010 Earthquake.

At 4:53 p.m. on January 12, 2010, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake shattered Haiti, killing hundreds of thousands, displacing millions, and devastating Port-au-Prince and surrounding communities. The world watched. Haitians endured. We will never forget.

This vigil will also uplift the urgent fight to protect Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti, set to terminate February 3, 2026, placing over 350,000 Haitians at risk of deportation despite ongoing instability.

Monday | Program begins 3:00 p.m.
📍 Toussaint Louverture Memorial Statue
🕯 Moment of silence at 4:53 p.m., followed by a procession to the Little Haiti Cultural Center.

We as an organization will most likely continue to advocate for our right to protest, and in due diligence for people's safety we will also acknowledge that the Facist Surveillance State is utilizing ICE officers as an arm to take protesters' lives.

I urge every person, organizer, activist, onlooker, bystander, ex-con, and further to prioritize their safety as we begin moving with this in mind
